in response to seekinghelp2012...how do you eat an elephant? one bite at a time. the answer is a snowball effect with a livable budget. key word livable. you cannot live on romen noodles and staying home. but you can eliminate that debt on your own con-solidation places are just that. even if they are ligit and mean well the power needs to lye on you. i have done this too. live and learn trust me snow ball that 500.oo a month in ten months you would have taken care of 5,000 of that debt, but at the rate it will go faster than that. because your other debts will be eliminated entirely. write down all of you debts even if there is an over due library book. 1 dollars. to largest debt home mortguage. pay only the minimum payments on all of them and focus the remaining money on the smallest or smallest 2-3 debts say a furniture bill or small credit card. and then pour the savings into next months debts and repeat. i got a easy to under stand from a chapter in the book called "Getting control: the complete guide to getting yourself out of horrible debt by troy flora available on amazon.com good luck! any qestions just ask me. i did it and you can too.

in response to ras1811...Pat It seem you and I are kinda in the same boat. I was a long haul truck driver. I have two tickets not paid that has my lic. suspended. The speeding ticket in Ohio 145.00 I know I owe. The overweight ticket in manchester Tn. The company was susposed to pay. They didn't now I owe 170.00 for it. With reinstatement fee, dup. copy of lic. and all 650. will put my CDLs back in my hands.I just had to have neck surgery Dec.20. I have not been able to work since July 2010. What is born and bread Americans supposed to do when they have no way to do any thing? I dont quailfy for Tenn. care, to help with medical help.I could go back to work in no time with my lic.
Greetings everyone. I want to share a problem I have. For five years I have been trying to resolve a traffic violation that was given to me due to lack of funds. I use to be a U.S. soldier in the active duty Army. When I no longer was in the Army, I decide to enroll in college. Well one particular day over five years ago, I was trying to film a school project from my vehicle. Honestly I did not have any money compared to the amount of money that was being paid to me from the military. Times was hard and I had no insurance on my vehicle, to include expired license plates, and expired registration when I was attempting to film a project. The police assumed that I could be part of some terrorist organization because I was trying to film planes at a small regional airport. The vehicle was towed by the police for lack of all the traffic violations. Every since those fines, I have not been able to obtain a good job without drivers license since my license was revoked due to the traffic violations. The fine is $1,405.00 all together since it was three different violations. I have not been able to save nor raise that kind of money, because over the last five years I spent 3 and a half of those years a full time college student. I really need to find a way or some help to remove this from my record so I can possess license and obtain a decent or excellent career or job. I have had a few small jobs, but they only assisted me in helping pay rent, food, public transportation, and utilities. I really would like to do better for myself, and help others in the process. If only I could resolve this problem, then I will be able to return the favor to someone who needs the help one day. Does any person out there know a logical solution, or can anyone lend a helping hand? Thanks for reading this.
in response to seekinghelp2012...Consolidating debts is rarely the best way to go in trying to reduce your debt levels. Best thing to do is to develope a budget and a plan and stick to it.
Does anyone know of a place to consolidate debts for persons with bad credit. I would even consider peer to peer lending if there are any wealthy individuals willing to help a single, graduate student, with a full time job. I've suffered some financial misfortunes but I'm trying to get back on track. I need about $50,000 and I can comfortably pay be $450 - $550 per month. Please help in any way that you can and it will be greatly appreciated.

It already went on the trade auction. Now no car we rentted a car. i dont miss the 500.00 payments a month,but need help for downpayment and low monthly payments for short term.

I needed help long before Christmas Time started to roll around.I'm not too proud to ask for help but, since I lost my job ...I felt that help others and God will help you.So I spend my down time when not looking for work at the local food bank and shelter helping others.I have the usual problems a lot have with making my bills and health as well as depression.My problems are not as bad as others but I have to everyday pray for the strenghtn to keep busy finding a way to stay off the street and the poor house.I didn't think I'd find time to write this but the head of the food bank made me take a day off and gave me Aidpage URL address.I hope someone can find hope and help from what I do and say everyday whether or not anyone helps me..I know I've done all I could for them.I guess I'm asking for whatever you'd like to help me with.I know God will bless thoses who bless others so thats why I'm not pressing anyone for help...their been Times I had seems nothing at all and God made a way for me,So pray and believe I know he'll make a way for you too!

Soy una madre d dos hijas mental y fisicamente incapacitadas. A consecuencia d sus condiciones no puedo trabajar. tengo que cumplir con sus citas y diferentes situaciones. Tengo problemas para lograr el trabajo apropiado el cual me brinde el tiempo q ellas requieren. El unico ingreso q tengo es el SSI d ella. Que no es mucho solo $704.00 al mes q eso se va d renta y los demas facturas estan en las nubes. Ahora mi renta esta atrasada por varios meses y estan por sacarme. La luz proximamente la apagaran por falta d pago. Es tiempo d navidad y no tengo ni siquiera para regalarles algo a ninguna d ellas solo deudas. Si en algo me puedan ayudar se los agradecere.

I was hired at a temp agency and although it's not permanent, I have been able to put food on our table, catch up on some bills and build relationship with the employers so hopefully they will keep me on for good. Help! I need help on bills. I've been disabled for some time now (I had a stroke). I have a couple of bills that have gone into collections, and I was talking to a collector recently who mentioned these resources. If it's possible I would like to get these bills paid off. There are a couple that are $2000 and not being able to work to pay these off has become a problem. I don't make enough with disability to make payment arrangements in order to pay these off. I'm considered permanently disabled. I want to work, but because of the tremor I have in my left hand and very limited use of it, I'm not able.

I want to know why it is that a person can be on disability, getting SSDI, has NO insurance because wife was laid off, but can NOT get Medical Assistance. This person also has $1400.00 a month in prescriptions, has been recently told his heart is failing and there is nothing they can do. The county assistance that they get is horrible. They never answer their phone, never have they received a call back from the messages left, and they have the balls to make several mistakes on their application and turn them down. How are they supposed to right a wrong that someone else is doing if they wont give them the time of day? And just for clairity, this is a County in WI and starts with an M. Im afraid if I put the name down I will somehow be hunted down and retaliated on. Paaaaathetic. The wolves are at their door wanting payment on thier medical bills. Mayo Clinic gives them an application to see if they can forgive some of their bill, but they want ALOT of private info, from 3 months ago, which has nothing to do with what is going on know. Besides that the last time they filled out one of the applications, the husband was not working, waiting to hear from disability and they had less money then they have now and they still turned them down. So why bother. It makes a person, who has been givin a limited time to live, just give up. Our government does NOT care, and has not for a very long time. Unlike our government, we can not turn around anytime we want and give ourselves a raise, on top of the top of the line insurance they have. We are becoming a third world country and fast. In order to get any kind of help you have to be living in a card board box, or be laying face down in the the street. It is very frustrating, when all I can do is watch as this family suffers through.
I'm a person who loves to smile and make people laugh. But hurts to see my family suffer. so I'm asking Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to bless me and my family with a normal house to call home. I am 32 yrs old married to my high school sweetheart for 11 yrs. Together we have a 14 yr old and a 7yr old. We were young parents and during our time with trying to make ends meet with jobs that do not pay much and child care we have not been able to save the money needed to fix credit to get a home loan. My credit is not terrible but it needs improvement but when you are paying almost 1000.00 in rent and life with children saving is not something that is easily done. We don't have savings we are starting to get out of living check to check but really want to purchase a home! There are so many programs to help but none when taking a chance to finace someone that needs a home. I have always wanted to own my own home and it is a shame that 10yrs ago when I was 22 didn't have a stable job I could have gotten finaced for 0% down but now that I have a good job that I have worked for 5 years I can't get approved for anything. I have a judgement on my credit that I can't afford to pay so I will most likely never be able to have the american dream. Thank you Struggling to purchase a home in Tn.

He divorced me after he found out I would be disabled for life, and I suffer from chronic pain daily. He went to another town and divorced me by publication, I would not know of this without one of his friends telling me. I thought that to do that, was illegeal but have found out it is not. I lost a chance of being in front of a judge or jury to explain my condition and situation, he has a high paying job, I was married to him for 12 years, and in my state I would be getting a family support check from him...I live off of S.S. and a small pension from my work after saving enough money to hire an atty. I went back to court , my so called atty happened to be in "cahoots" (unknowing to me) with his atty.(which by the way, is know been disbarred) my atty. also lied to me about several things that would be pertanent to my case, and did not represent my case fairly or in front of a judge at all in simple dogged me into to signing a papern I thought was uncoooth but he kept saying he would take it back to court or some other facts came out, which ofcourse he never did. I talked to my legal aid office and they basically told me I had been railroaded by my atty. Which ofcourse leaves me in the same situation I was in before hiring him, (he got 125.00 per month awarded to me). right before my husband disabled me, I had a great career, a savings of 75,000.00 that was mine alone earned, outside of my regular job, but my med. bills and living expenses have long excceded that. I lost my home, cars, way of life, and now have not enough money to hire another atty. My ex has a home paid for, 2 motorcycles, boats, and alot of the money we earned together all ended up with him while I was busy in the hospital and getting rehab. It has been years of suffering and wanting to give up, but the American in me says I should somehow get my rights in front of a judge to straighten this out, I deserve atleast what was mine and my childrens from my working and savings alone, back from him. I get extremely upset and have a hard time and without the money to hire another atty. and the know how to get this back in court fear what will happen to me as I grow older as well as my childrens wefair. I really need someone to help me put this in writing to present to another atty. as well as the Atty's fee. Can you give me any suggestioons of help, and are there any housing or lenders that could help me secure a decent home. Desperate for to long...

Due to radiation daily and chemotherapy everyother week I can't work. I'm at a loss of what to do here I am on central section 8 list. And about 5 housing lists. Another issue is that my husband has been approved for ssi but even though he has been Here since six years old. As well my husband worked very hard in the system for years. We got married,bought a house and had three boys. I'm at a loss i feel so helpless! Can anyone help with suggestions?
God bless you all first of all, ok I'm a cancer patient I've had 3 surgery already and my wife had open heart surgery when she was younger but that's some of our problems we got two sons, my first son he is a year and seven month and he has ashma, my second son he was born premie he was born at 24weeks they gave him a 10% chance he would make it the first 24 hours, and thank god he made it now he is gonna be seven month and he is still in the hospital he's had 4 surgery so far the last one was last week so he is doing better and he is coming home on monday that's great my sons are gonna meet for the first time ever, so here is my problem we live with my wife brother and father they smoke and have pets that they don't clean after my youngest son has lung deceise they took out his breathing tube out a few days ago so being in this house is not an option I just found out I have a tumor in one of my main blood vessel and its painful. we need help getting out of here.so if anyone could please donate something anything it would be great, thank you for listening and God Bless you all...
